*Readvolution is a partnership between the Carolina Hurricanes and Wake County Public Schools to support a community-wide literacy campaign to all elementary schools. The goal of the campaign was to highlight the importance of reading in creating college, career ready graduates. The program ran October 2, 2017 through January 12, 2018.

Students were challenged to read 20 minutes outside of the school day, as well, students were also given the opportunity to write and submit an essay on a chosen topic.

As they achieved goals, students and teachers were rewarded with free tickets to Hurricanes games, school appearances from Stormy and the Pepsi Storm Squad, teacher recognitions , as well the essay winners were recognized county wide.
