Happy November. Happy Thanksgiving!

Wow, it’s already November!  Will the fall season upon us, we want to take this time to wish you and your students a very Happy Thanksgiving!  We are so thankful for all of our teachers and students; and we hope that the NIE program has been a valuable resource for your classroom.

Spelling Bee: Our newspapers are proud to sponsor local regional spelling bees. When you register at the Scripps National Spelling Bee, you will automatically be registered into the regional bee. Get all the details here.


Woody & Chloe: Our chapter book, Out of Sorts, will conclude this month with Chapters 8-10.  But don’t worry, you can still join in on the fun throughout the year as we follow our favorite pups, Woody & Chloe as they realize the impact that newspapers have in our hometown, state and country. National Native American Heritage Month.

On August 3, 1990 President George H. W. Bush declared the month of November as National American Indian Heritage Month, thereafter commonly referred to as Native American Heritage Month.
